阮在天裡的父。願祢的名聖。祢的國臨到，祢的旨意得成，在地裡親像在天裡。阮的日食今仔日給阮。赦免阮的辜負，親像阮亦有赦免辜負阮的人。勿得導阮入於試，著救阮脫離彼個惡的。因為國，權能，榮光攏是祢所有，代代無盡。阿們！

（台語）耶和華行佇*的頭前，日時，佇雲柱中導*的路；暝時，佇火柱中光照*。互*日暝攏通行。日時的雲柱，暝時的火柱，攏無離開百姓的頭前。

1.      我們歡迎今天第一次參加我們聚會的兄姊，很高興您和我們一起敬拜上帝，盼望您能繼續在我們中間一起成長。本教會聚會時間是現代英語禮拜中午12點30分在副堂、台語禮拜下午2點，歡迎參加。（介紹後）唱「在耶穌裡，咱攏做一家人（三次），從今直到永永遠遠，在耶穌裡，咱攏做一家人。」今天禮拜後，在副堂備有茶點，希望所有兄姊留步，一起分享、認識，在主裏交誼，並共享鄉親情。

2.      我們謝謝黃鼎盛牧師今天帶給我們美好的信息，黃牧師是華人長老教會的牧師，一向關心我們的教會。

3.      少年團契昨天的漸進晚餐，謝謝開放的家庭，有郭家欣、陳雅雅家、劉雪紅姊家、廖學仁、賴怡如家、鐘淑絹姊家、林梅花姊家；也謝謝昭宏長老、宏聖長老、雅美長老載他們。少年們有一個豐富的夜晚，也認識了一些教會的家庭。

4.      下週有第二主日的「歡樂時光」，郭醫師這個月的主題是「快樂幽默」，請兄姊踴躍參加。

5.      婦女團契年會在11月16日禮拜後在交誼廳舉行，將選舉副會長，請所有婦女踴躍參加。

6.      我們恭喜所有11月生日的兄姊，願上帝賜福您們，也使人因您們得福。

在瑪莉的丈夫去世後，她覺得生氣與孤單。她還是持續來教堂，因為至少還能找到一些安慰，也就是每個禮拜天，伊樂諾兒都會坐在她身邊。

 

這樣，經過了幾個月，有一個禮拜天早上，伊樂諾兒不再坐在她身邊了。

 

這件事讓瑪莉不開心，但是直到她往教堂的另一邊看去，才明瞭原來伊樂諾兒是坐在琳達身邊，因為琳達的丈夫在一個星期前剛剛過世。

 

看到琳達安靜的，默默的接受伊樂諾兒安慰，這才讓瑪莉明白在過去的幾個月中，她已經接受了多少的恩典和多少的醫治。

 

或許在你的生命中你認識某個伊樂諾兒。

 

或許你自己就是一個伊樂諾兒。

聘牧報告      


聘牧委員會及小會很樂意在此報告聘牧的進行工作。

 

聘牧委員定期開會，到目前已完成教會狀況的資料整理並送至總會。聘牧的啟事也已在台灣教會公報及加拿大長老會刊物刊登，我們歡迎具有下列條件的人應徵：

1.          確認基督信仰並樂意事奉及宣教

2.          相信並接受加拿大長老教會的信仰及規章

3.          了解移民教會的文化及需要

4.          精通台、英語

 

申請截止日期2009年1月31日，申請人直接和代理議長Rev. Dr. Roberta Clare連絡，e mail住址clare@standreus.edu，所有申請人資料將會保密。

 

在所有候選人經聘牧委員審核後，我們會選擇一位，邀請此候選人來主日講道，後在會員大會投票決定是否接受，我們希望在2009年6月底前能完成聘牧工作。

Update on the search for a minister       


The Search Committee and the Session is pleased to report that progress is being made in the search for a new minister. The Search Committee meets regularly. To date, it has completed the congregational profile for the national church office. Notices are posted in the Taiwan Church News and the Presbyterian Church in Canada.

 

VTPC welcomes applications from qualified candidates who demonstrate the following:

1.      A strong Christian faith, demonstrated ability and willingness to serve the Lord and proclaim the Gospel

2.      Belief in, and acceptance of the creeds, confessions and governance of the Presbyterian Church in Canada

3.      A demonstrated understanding of the culture and needs of an immigrant church

4.      Fluency in both Taiwanese and English

 

The deadline for application is January 31, 2009.  Applications may be submitted to the Interim-Moderator: Rev. Dr. Roberta Clare by e mail clare@standrews.edu

 

All applications are confidential.

 

After considering all applications, one candidate will be invited to “preach for the call” during a regular Sunday worship service. A vote by VTPC members will take place during a congregational meeting held to consider the call. We hope to fill the vacancy by the end of June 2009.

ANNOUNCEMENT                         

1.      We would like to welcome everyone who is worshipping with us for the first time.  We hope that you will join us for worship again.  Our regular worship times are 12:30 pm for Contemporary Service and 2pm for Taiwanese Service.

2.      We would like to thank Rev. Dr. Stephen Farris for preaching at 12:30 Service today.  Stephen is the Dean of St. Andrew’s Hall, also professor at VST.  He is also the Minister of Associate of KPC.

3.      TPSeeds would like to thank those families opened their homes to them yesterday for the Progressive Dinner.  They are Dr. & Mrs. Kuo, Mrs. H.H. Huang, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Liao, Mrs. Ko and Ms. Grace Lin.  Also thank all the drivers Elders: Benson, Jimmy and Ruth.  It was enjoyed by all the youth.  May the Lord bless your hospitality.

4.      The Induction Service for Rev. Stephen Filyck of KPC will be on Sunday, Nov. 23 4pm.  Please keep that time free for his induction service.

5.      Women’s Fellowship will have their annual meeting on Sunday, Nov. 16 after the Taiwanese Service to elect the vice chair for 2009.  All women are welcome.

6.      We wish Happy Birthday to those who celebrate theirs in November.  God bless.
