How to Register:
You can visit our web site at ESL.vtpc.org to find out more about ESL program. You can choose to fill up your on-line "New Life Adult ESL Application Inquiry Form" directly; or call our ESL program phone at (604)266-0827 to leave your name and phone number. So, our volunteers can make an appointment with you to visit our Church (Location) and complete the registration in person.
The History of VTPC.org Community Curriculum Programs:
Vancouver Taiwanese Presbyterian Church (VTPC.org) has commenced its Golden Age Academy since 1996 to provide the senior citizens the curriculum to enrich their life. Recent years VTPC.org has seen the increasing numbers of non-English speaking immigrants to our communities. As a community church, VTPC.org decided to cooperate with other community churches and institutions, like Vancouver Granville Chapel and Trinity Baptist Church, to provide ESL Program with Biblical teaching to meet the new immigrant’s need in our community.
ESL Program Objective and Feature:
Called by Jesus Christ's benevolence spirit, the New Life ESL program is to assist the non-English speaking immigrants, taught by the teacher in Christ's compassion and English teaching profession (note 1), to study and learn the Canadian daily practical English, including English Holy Bible (note 2) and the related indispensible seminar for immigrant.
Moreover, the church volunteer team shall provide the snack in tea time, to facilitate in class and out of class learning and sharing through the Theme Activities. In return, students can speed up their understanding over the community environment and make new friends to share, grow and enrich their new life in Canada.

New Life ESL Program: 
- 1. Starts in September, ends in June
- 2. Has 3 terms of 20 lessons each.
The Classes Schedule:
- 1. Mondays and Thursdays
- 2. Begin at 9:30 and end at 11:30am

- The Tuition Fee:
- 1. New Student Application Fee $10
- 2. Class Fee each Term $40
- 3. Book Fee (Purchase Price)

- The Program Level:
- 1. 5 Levels (To be adjusted by Teacher within two weeks)
- 2. Book: Interchange Program published by Cambridge University Press (Clink the right Picture for detail)

- This program does not have:
- 1. Placement Tests
- 2. Basic Level English

- The Class Schedule:
09:30-10:30 Textbook English
10:30-10-45 Tea Time with all Classes
10:45-11:30 Homework and Bible Study
Note 1: This is not an accredited program: All the teachers and coordinator are volunteers.
Note 2: Canada’s laws and cultural background are based on Judeo-Christian values. Studying the ESL with Bibles helps in understanding the Canadian people and culture.
Refund Policy for Tuition Fees:
All requests for refund must be made in writing with student’s signature and the original Tuition Fee receipt to the ESL Office.
FULL REFUND (less application and book fees) will be given before the end of the first two weeks of each term.
1/2 REFUND (less application and book fees) will be given after the Full Refund period and before the end of the first four weeks of each term.
NO REFUND will be granted after the first four weeks of each term.
Optional Program: Adult Sunday School Class/TBD with Children Sunday School
